I have an FSX problem and have been told to install SDK and access the simconnect.msi file. in the lib folder.but when I open the lib folder the only files there are Managed, readme, sample.exe.manifest, simconnect.lib and simconnect. I'm using Windows 7. I installed FSX on a different drive to Windows but don't know if this affects SDK. I was not given a choice where to install SDK. I have 2 copies of FSX and did the same on another PC with the same result. Both copies of FSX are the gold edition. Any help would be appreciated.

It's the one called Simconnect. You have Show File Extensions turned Off in your Windows.

Remember that the final version of Simconnect must match the version of FSX you have installed so you may need more than 1 SDK.

Thanks Jim. I'll try the Simconnect file. Regarding file extensions one of the files displayed is simconnect.lib which seems to be an extension.

No, not simconnect.lib, but the one called JUST Simconnect, it is a .msi file.
