March 22, 201412 yr Hi MCE. Trying to assign a button for ATC in MCE with FSX and only my GoFlight GF-TQ6 throttle "button 3" is available. I have a Thrustmaster Warthog joystick/throttle and a GF-LGT also connected. Pressing any of the Warthog buttons when at the MCE ATC change assignment box does nothing. I have all of my controls assigned through FSUIPC except for the POV hat. All virtual buttons for the GF-TQ6 have been deleted from FSX. Any ideas? Thanks, gb. YSSY. It's very likely your button 3 on GoFlight GF-TQ6 is in "always on position". You will need a workaround for such scenario. Assuming you want to assign button B on joystick J, proceed as follows... Disconnect all joysticks except the one you want to use for ATC. Run the app wizard Click Start->All Programs->Multi Crew Experience->Tools->Run app wizard. No need for speech training. When you get to the stage where you are prompted to press a particular joystick button, there are 2 scenarios... 1 - No particular button is pre-selected before you press any. That's the expected scenario. Press one of the buttons and MCE will remember it as your favorite PTT switch. 2- Before you get a chance to select a button, a particular button is displayed as pressed and there is no way you can select another one. Just accept that button and exit the wizard. Open mce.ini in C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Multi Crew Experience\ folder Look at the [GAMEPAD] section. Change "JoyButton=whatever_ID_Is_SHown_Here" to "JoyButton=The_Button_ID_You_Think_Is_The_Correct_One" Save the file. Now that MCE knows which joystick and button to monitor, you can replug all your joysticks and it will only react to that particular button when held down or released. When the selected PTT button is held down, you should hear a continuous humming background noise, which indicates the system is ready to process ATC related speech input. Joysticks are monitored directly via DirectX There is no need to emulate DEL key down and Up via FSUIPC.dll Hope this helps Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
