March 30, 201412 yr Hey guys Finally joined after being a lurker for a bit. Started building on my 747 style throttle quad. Well not actually a build but more or less a modifcation to 2 saitek throttle quads. Anyways, I'm using the PMDG 747 for FS9 and I am trying to program the Engine cut off switches to the T1 thru T4 buttons on my throttle through FSUIPC and I'm having a bit of trouble getting it to work, I'm using mouse macros to do this and I am successful at programming the cutoff switch number one to the T1 button. I've done a search online for this problem and it seems like there isn't a solution. Found one from I believe was from the FUSIPC support forum about editing the macros in notepad but that caused FS9 to crash after initiating the sequence. As of right now I'm leaning towards demo'ing key2mouse to alleviate this but my only problem with that is the 2D panel has to be open at all times after the macros have been created. Wondering what you guys recommend? Thank you -Lee Lee Alexander
March 30, 201412 yr that made me go bonkers...dude i do not know the technical aspects but do post some pictures when ur done . i have saitek yoke and throttle quad but just one.. so if urs is convincing i might do the same.. and am sure there are many people who would help here...anyways good luck
March 30, 201412 yr Author Actually got it to work now. Had to do some edits in the macro file using word pad. For some reason when you mouse macro the throttles, all of them read like this: 24=START01=R1:1 26=START02=R1:1 27=START03=R1:1 28=START04=R1:1 So when you assign a button or key combination to say, cutoff switch 3. Its actually activating cutoff switch number one. So after some trial and error made some changes to the values like this:24=START01=R1:1 26=START02=R1:2 27=START03=R1:3 28=START04=R1:4 Now it works and I'm a happy person right meow! But yeah the throttle build is coming together nicely. Still have lots to go, though and I'm waiting for the 2nd throttle to come in. Lee Alexander
