Hi. Something I've been wanting to ask. At airports that have parallel taxiways; is there a rule of thumb as to direction of traffic on the taxiways? i.e., inbound uses closest to the runway, outbound furthest from the runway. ? ? ?Thanks for the help.Emilio

As no one has replied yet Emilio, here's my take.I don't know if there is a rule of thumb but if you get the ground charts for such airports they usually show, or describe which direction each taxiway goes.EHAM for instance has the outer taxiway going counter-clockwise, inner is clockwise. I can't see anything for EGLL but directions may be given in the text description of the airport.At ESSA the outer taxiway is clockwise, inner is counter-clock so I guess there isn't a rule of thumb ;-)
