E170 vs E190 panel

Featured Replies

Hi

I've noticed that the E170 has three TO power settings TO1, TO2 and TO3.

However, the E190 has only two. Is this correct ?

Hi,

Afaik on the E190 and the E170 you can have two or three thrust reduction possibilities depending on the maximum thrust of the engine type

see for example the E190 Powerplant documentation(chap 5.11 thrust rating table) on

http://www.smartcockpit.com/plane/EMBRAER/EMBRAER-190-195.html

If you look at the different possible engine types of the E-jet family  for example here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embraer_E-Jet_family

you see that

for the E-170 you can have an engine of 13.800 lb or 14.200 lbf maximum thrust and

for the A-190 you can have an engine of 18.500 lb or  20.000 lb maximum thrust

and if you have a look into the Aircraft.cfg (static_thrust) of the E-jets where you  see that for the

E-170 FT has programmed the "HIGHER" thrust engine of  14200 lb and for the

E-190 FT has programmed  the "LOWER"  thrust engine of 18500

so it is LOGICAL that for the E170 we have T/O/1/2/3 while for the E190 we have only T/O1/2

Thanks Guy

So I just want confirmation that the E-190 panel has only TWO to positions while the E-170 has THREE.

Does your panel also reflect this ?

Thanks

Trevor

Hi again,

YES, on my panel it is the same and, once more, it is logical because the FT E170 has the "higher" thrust engines, while the FT E190 has the "lower" thrust engines.
