April 1, 201412 yr Hi I have recently reinstalled Radar Contact on a networked laptop after using a couple of the other ATC programs on the market as it seems to be the least problematic. I have had a couple of problems while taxying lately. I was given runway 08R during taxi instructions at London Gatwick and was following an AI aircraft to that runway holding point, I then noticed AI aircraft landing in the opposite direction on runway 26L. Secondly, on another occasion I was taxying up to a 'T junction' on the taxiway about to turn right and noticed a AI aircraft about to taxi past my nose from left to right. According to page 41 of the manual RC should give some kind of instructions like "give way to aircraft from the left" or something similar. I am using My Traffic X and confirmed the aircraft are being recognised using the program 'Traffic Look'. Is there a setting I may have missed when setting up Radar Contact 4.3.3845 ? Glen Glen
April 1, 201412 yr Moderator Glen, On your first point make sure your weather program has updated the conditions in FSX before you start RC. If you've done that then the other solution is to set the time back a couple of minutes in FSX which will reset the Ai. This is not a common problem but can happen occasionally especially if the winds are close to right-angles to the runway. You might also want to check using AFX (or similar AFCAD program) that 08R at EGKK is set as a landing runway. It probably is but it's worth a check. On your second point I have had Ai taxi right through my aircraft from behind. Again, not often but they do seem to lack intelligence at times. That will be down to FSX of course and not the Ai program or RC. You will hear "give way" or "follow" instructions but they tend to happen when you start your taxi rather than enroute to the holding point. Ray (Cheshire, England). April 1, 201412 yr Author Hi Ray Many thanks for your help. I forgot to mention I was using UK2000 Gatwick Extreme, I have seen aircraft land on both 08R and 26L, so I think the AFCAD is ok. Good point about the wind direction it may have been boarder line for either runway, I can't remember now. I did have a Virgin 744 taxi right on top of me recently while waiting at the 08R holding point, I just thought he was being friendly  Thanks again Glen Glen
