April 8, 201412 yr Let's go chase a few hurricanes! Of course, this is a fictional livery, since the United States Department of Commerce doesn't have J41s in their fleet, but they do have a couple of props. Johnny Rosario

April 12, 201412 yr I like this repaint! but does anyone know how to add the sensor package from the Hong Kong Flying Service? Seems like a great fit for this paint! Gino Gino Berk
April 12, 201412 yr Author I found a post in aussiex.org, where a fellow painter had created an Australian Customs livery for the PMDG JS4100 with the belly camera. However, in order to use it he said that you will have to sacrifice the Hong Kong livery. I'm not sure if that is true or not, but he backed up his "texture.HKG" livery, and renamed his Australian Customs livery folder to match the HKG. He made it work, but I'm not sure if that is the best solution. Update: I can confirm that this method works, just tried it and I got my camera pod to install on the NOAA. However, if you want to go back to your Hong Kong livery, make sure you back it up. I haven't figured any other way to do it, unless PMDG gives us the secret. Johnny Rosario
April 13, 201412 yr Author Gino, I tried a variety of aircraft.cfg entries for the NOAA, to try and add the camera to it without sacrificing the Hong Kong livery, but I couldn't do it. For some reason it's linked to the texture name "Texture.HKG", and without It, it won't recognize the two textures inside the main texture folder called; "PMDG_41_HKGFS" and "PMDG_41HKGFS_Spec". Must be a hard code some where. Johnny Rosario
April 13, 201412 yr Hi, Yeah, I also found it out, let's hope someone from PMDG might give us an answer, or open up a support ticket for it. Anyway, It seems like if you swap around the folder names, and adjust the aircraft.cfg it works, so for now, just swapping around to which of the both you want to fly seems the easiest thing to do. April 13, 201412 yr Author Yeah, that's right Gino. Happy flying, and thanks for the camera pod suggestion. The NOAA looks better with it. Update: I've gone ahead and submitted a ticket at PMDG and see if anyone answers. Johnny Rosario
