Re-Activation Issues - Port 8888

Featured Replies

Hi,

I guess some of you know about 737NGX re-activation problems.

1. I have just submitted a ticket to support and already had an answer telling me I am blocking port 8888.

2. I have a brand new machine, just dedicated exclusively to FSX. No firewall, no antivirus. Just FSX. After 20 days and some addons successfully installed, today I decided to install the 737NGX. I have all my installers backed up. Then the message: "ERROR: Unable to connect to activation server... Please check your internet connection and try again."

3. I have just installed PMDG 777 with NO PROBLEMS of activation. I'm flying it. Of course, it must be a ultra-modern activation system, like the T7.

4. My ISP is not a University, or some other kind in this field who needs to block customers ports. I have contracted a 60MB speed with a serious national provider in my country.

5. The first hot-fix 737-800/900NGX (v1.00.2922) from 16AUG11 says in clause (4): "This hot-fix does NOT yet address the problems that certain users
are experiencing while trying to activate the product." What was this problem? Was that fixed? Was identified the circumstance which caused the error to certain users?

Regards,

Heron
