  1. Hi, Same here. When trying to visit FTX/ORBX main or forum, Chrome or Explorer starts a download of index.php. Exactly when hen they decide to make a big FTX Central upgrade! Did they post any warning? Best
  2. Paul and Dan, No messages on FMC or EICAS. The strange detail was the LNAV/VNAV indication on ND. I had a descent profile at that point because I had prepared an ILS34R approach via MARNR5 and there were no glitches or holes along the built path. The freighter was really light due to the company's shortage of 757s at that moment in Anchorage. I will be back to Alaska and will report here how things went. Thanks folks,
  3. Flying the 772 Freighter from PANC to KSEA, I received a descend clearance a bit early (some 45nm from TD), so I applied a DES NOW after switching MCP ALT from FL410 to (suggested by ATC) FL320. As nothing happened, which I frowned, I waited sometime till a point where she really must be descending. Then I switch to FLCH and she started down. After sometime, i tried to re-engage VNAV, as I did many times before after DES NOW procedures. The VNAV button lit for 2 seconds and went off. Just to make things short, until I landed at KSEA, I couldn't use VNAV again. The option for override A/T is put to NEVER. I use FS2Crew 777 button, but I can't remember the FO messing descendings. I also have SPAD Next with a default PMDG 777 profile. What could be preventing the use of VNAV?
  4. That's the best answer. Thanks, you saved my plane. Regards,
  5. Really good job! My first 4hs30 with T7: KMIA to KDEN, both commercial airports, 10% traffic, FS2Crew Button, ProATC, Rex clouds textures, ActiveSky weather, OrbX + Vector. Arrived with almost 1GB VAS without any sign of low FPS. Gain here was around 250MB, as announced. Best
  6. Hi, That's it, the options ini file was overwritten and the "Enable Data Broad cast = 1" entry was gone with the new 777 installation. I followed strictly the PMDG recommendation to reinstall this update and full uninstalled the previous version, also cleaning 777 folders in FSX. So... Problem is I cannot remember each and every step or workarounds for issues we generally have with this love-it-or-hate-it hobby. There are dozens of addons in FS and each one, likely their parent program, has its special tunning, humor sense and witchcraft doses. I will revive my old FS paper notebook on which I kept an FS Diary, with recipes for every addon installed. I am sorry to get to that conclusion in a hurry. FS2Crew is working beautifully as always within this PMDG-777 model 2016. Thanks for all for the replies. Congrats Bjork. Best,
  7. Hi Roux, For me it was a first time with an SDK error since the 777 button edition start, so I came to that (fast) conclusion. Yes, it can be a great coincidence, so tomorrow I will be giving another try and be back here. Do you think we can face or not this situation starting the 777 in different ways, as cold and dark or energized? Best,
  8. Hi, First of all, a great 2016 for all with hope, love and $ome fun. On the first day of the year, 777 pilots woke up with a nice gift from PMDG: 250MB of VAS for their hungry beast. But, after downloading, installing, and integrating it to FS2Crew, as soon as the panel was connected to the plane, a woman's voice from FS2Crew immediately informed to contact support due to a SDK error. Well, I stubbornly insisted on proceed and, after some arguments with my co-pilot, we could took-off from Miami to Denver. The first thing you see is a "SDK error". But, if you click the arrows, you can go through the checklists, even if the values are all zeroed. The co-pilot cannot see the parking break set nor the MCP. Click the arrows and keep going. The basic routines are done by the co-pilot as lights, gear-up, altimeters, flaps. Well, dear Bjork, the question is... when? If this plane can fly now what she's supposed to fly without OOMs, FS2Crew co-pilots also should go along... Best,
  9. Hi, I observed this stubborn HDG issue in the last 737 button version (before reboot). I really don't know when it started but, thinking better, I guess this could be a PROATC/X feature as there are options in it for FO actions. To better describe this phenomenon, when taxiing, the heading follows the aircraft path. So, when you align for takeoff, the heading should be correct, although this is any near the correct procedure. I didn't see if it is happening now in my Reboot, but I will review my PROATC/X configurations and/or talk with their staff, because I remember having deactivated all FO actions. Best
  10. Michael, I've read RSR's post as the VAS Leak Fix was published and I have a good knowledge of 99% of the artifacts which could provoke a VAS leakage. I read the OOM Forum too. My rig was installed on a FSX dedicated machine in which I invested without pity, gathering the best components I could find in the market. It is not a Ferrari, but for sure is a good piece of technology, and is not contaminated with any software beyond the FS world. Except the PMDG T7, I can fly along many hours any FSX commercial aircraft over all of the FTX Orbx regions, departing and landing on the best commercial airports, under ASN weather conditions and REX modest resolution clouds, using FS2Crew and PRO-ATC/X. Apart PMDG, I fly A2A Cessnas, Majestic Q400, Milviz B350i, and Alabeo's Saratoga. Of course I do turn off all commercial airports out of my route. But, frankly speaking, I would bet high on Pilot's FS Global 2010. This is a piece of base scenery I've been using since their first (2005) and the visual effects on the terrain are simply astounding, but for a high price on framerates, and who knows, on VAS. I don't want now to re-install the whole stuff rearranging my base scenery. So, to preserve my fun, instead my VAS, I will maintain my T7 flying 2-3hs routes. Best
  11. Dan, Yes, I know there are million other factors involved in this VAS issue, as Robert stated in his fix presentation. I use FSUIPC logger. Thanks. Best Michael, I entered the ILS07 approach in the FMS, some 4 hours after takeoff, consulting the weather at KDEN. Later, the PRO-ATC/X KDEN approach confirmed it. Thanks. Best Leo, I ran the new installer and clicked repair. As soon as I have some time, I will do as you say - uninstall and re-install the whole T7 stuff as I did with the last NGX update. And, I will fly again PANC-KDEN (5hs pain...) during a specially reserved Saturday afternoon. Thanks. Best
  12. Sorry to say but, after installing the "777 Leak Fix Version", mine didn't survive to the 5hs PANC-FlightBeam KDEN. As soon I made 10.000ft on ILS07 approach, the VAS alarm went on and OOMed on downwind. I've always been following each and every recommendation to avoid OOMs and preserve VAS. So, things didn't change and my system's leak is up and running with the T7. Best
  13. Captain Randazzo and PMDG staff, Thanks for the professional and scientific approach dedicated to the best aircraft ever built in the FS existence. Regards,
  14. Same here: Program Pin Error after trying to define the rwy at destination on FMC. After that, nothing could be entered there. This is the first time this happened and I've been flying all tis month until today in Navigraph AIRAC 1504, changing today morning to 1505. I use PRO-ATC/X in FSX. Best
  15. Hi BYork I agree. Thanks! Best,
  16. Hi Jim, Thanks, this should explain such radical inversion and very rare ASN lapse. Best
  17. Hi, Yesterday, APR13 during sunset at Denver-CO KDEN, approx 23:30 ZULU, the ATIS at KDEN under ASN active read winds 350/17 A3011 while all other services I use announced winds 170/17 A3011. Temperature and other components were the same, but If the winds difference was not by 180 degrees, I may not have noticed. This is the first time ASN brought me so strange numbers for a single location. My destination was KPHX and there the ATIS was OK. Any ideas? Best
  18. Hi, I've noticed that in the NGX, when the departure is before or during sunset, the FO does not touch the internal lights when the night comes. Am I missing something? Best,
  19. Really a tragedy. My condolences to FS2Crew Team and Maik family.
  20. Reviewers, Learn with Jcmmg!!! Simply perfect. Short, complete, marketing disconnected, and at the end the reader gets a precision feel of the aircraft. Thanks Jcm. Best,
  21. Bob, Thanks for your kind reply. Paul J suggestion already uses 1/2 sync. I have been researching about the issue my FSX is not complying to the NI Framerate Limit in 30 and found that maybe my NI Profile became corrupted by the last NI update where the Framerate Limiter line changed place. The recommendation is to build another profile in the new NI version. I will try this tonight. Best regards,
  22. Byork, As always, the best of the best! :Applause: Regards
  23. Hi, Is there any relation between DX10 Fixer and the NVidia Inspector framerate limiter? I'm using DX10 for more than 4 months successfully. I remember sometime ago I applied Paul J's simple NI settings (Post #106) to solve an AA issue, which was brilliantly fixed. I remember the framerates correctly limited in 30 by NI (ticked at unlimited inside FSX). But, after 2 NVidia drive updates, the framerates now go high above 30 in the FSX screen, not obeying the NI Limiter at 30. I did save Paul J's settings in a file and I always restore it after NVidia driver upgrade, APPLYING the changes in NI. This is in anyway messing with my FSX and I am really still in honey-moon with DX10 Fixer, though curious about the NI framerate limiter which is not working. Best regards,
  24. Please, give a try to stop service "presentationfontcache.exe". For the first time, I could end a 2:00hs T7/ASN flight with 1GB of VAS. Both airports KDEN and KPHX are commercial. Simply go to the Windows Services and stop Windows Presentation Foundation Font Cache 3.0.0.0. No harm will do to your Flight Sim. Next time you boot, this service will be back. More information at http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/15932-63-presentationfontcache-stop This deserves more tests in longer flights. Could be a false alarm in my system. Best regards,
  25. Any commercial airport will eat VAS. ASN also eats VAS (read their manual or look at their settings comments). You should try too Aerosoft EHAM + Rex. At this moment I am doing a T7 test flight with a Windows service called "presentationfontcache.exe" stopped. It was eating a big part of my VAS. Be back in minutes. Best regards,
