May 1, 201412 yr This is something I've only noticed recently. I got ORBX recently, but I cannot say with absolute certainty if this issue began since installing that, or if it was in fact always there. Basically, when I fly up high (typically at least 25,000 feet or so), I start to notice that bridges and other certain structures look distorted. It's almost like I'm seeing the pillars that extend into the ground get stretched. It's very hard to explain, so I've included a screenshot below. Again, this only happens up high. When I get lower, the structures end up looking normal. Anyone got any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks! PS: If the image is too large, let me know, or maybe an admin can fix it? I wasn't sure how to make it smaller.
May 1, 201412 yr http://www.prepar3d....iewtopic&t=6512 There's nothing unusual about the way we code these objects in our products and I'm sure it also affects the P3D default and other third-party extrusion bridges. What we can do is check with LM whether they are already aware of the issue. Cheers, Holger" Today is the most beautiful day of my life...
May 2, 201412 yr Author Thank you for the quick reply. Yes, I don't believe ORBX has anything to do with this, as I disabled that temporarily and still had the issue. The link you posted though. It seems to redirect back to this thread. To clarify though, is this an issue that every has? I know someone else with Prepar3d, and while they have this issue as well, it's much more subtle. On my computer, it really stands out.
May 2, 201412 yr You can temporarily (until its fixed) overcome this by renaming the Extrusions.spb in the Autogen folder to something else like: Extrusions.off There will be no autogen bridges after that but so far, I don't miss them. Gerrit
