May 3, 201412 yr Hi Using the latest version I'm getting pretty constant (ie 5 a flight on an 1:20 minute flight) It just says the server has stopped and asks if I want to debug or cancel Any ideas? Thanks Lee

May 3, 201412 yr Commercial Member The Microsoft Wdmaud.drv is notoriously fragile. Please check your Configure Settings and make sure you haven't enabled ButtKicker audio control. Stephen :-)
May 3, 201412 yr Author But I have a buttkicker Stephen, or am I missing something. Is there something in the Buttkicker control settings that would do this? Thanks for the fast reply
May 3, 201412 yr Commercial Member Then you should make sure you are not enabling more than one ButtKicker device if you only have one. Are you using a dedicated audio card or USB stick? But once again, these errors are within the notoriously fragile and flawed Wdmaud Microsoft audio driver. If this driver crashes then it crashes the host FSXSERVER process. Not sure if you can repair or update this driver. We have no other reports of constant repeated crashes, we can't actually cause the driver to crash, it does that all by itself. Try to see if you can update the driver and possibly your audio drivers. Stephen :-) Her is a post on the web for some other product but may help ... “Wdmaud.drv” is a WDM Audio driver mapper from Microsoft Corporation belonging to Microsoft Windows Operating System. This seems to happen if the audio drivers are corrupt on your computer. I would suggest you to download the latest audio drivers from the manufacturer’s website on to your computer and install it and check if it helps. You may also try to update the audio drivers from the device manager on the computer and check if it helps. You may access the link below and follow the steps to update drivers on your computer. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly Stephen
May 3, 201412 yr Commercial Member Next week I will also have a look to see what I can do to make the wdmaud.drv driver more stable. I have some ideas. Stephen :-)
August 21, 201510 yr I have the same issue when BK is enabled. I use the latest versin 460.4. I try a new soundcard and install the latest driver. Any idea ? Jörn
August 22, 201510 yr Commercial Member Unfortunately nothing really can be done about the Microsoft wdmaud driver, it's very fragile. I will Google to see if there's anything new I could try. Stephen :-)
