February 19, 200521 yr Hi, I'm wondering if this new megascenery will be compatible with previous georender or fsaddon series in that region ...I mean - aiports's photoreal surrondings will probably be replaced, but airports themselves?Anyone?Thanx
February 19, 200521 yr I just got my Megascenery PNW yesterday, but I did have a chance to try it out w/the FSAddon Orcas Island tonight. You have to move the KORS scenery up above the PNW in the scenery library for it to show up, but it looks good and still works exactly as before for me. The only discrepancies are with the winter textures -- the PNW puts a lot of snow on the ground, while Richard was more realistic in his snow coverage, so the seams are a bit obvious at that time of year. In summer, however, the blending is great, and it's wonderful to have the San Juans all be so detailed and realistic. I haven't tried any other GeoRender sceneries with it, yet, but I expect that they'll all have some blending issues on the boundaries of their custom photo terrain textures. That's to be expected, as nobody could have forseen Megascenery when they were created. I'll bet it won't be too bad in the summer months though. Hope that helped.thanks,
February 19, 200521 yr Author Note that Orcas Island is a bit special because it's located on an island so the border is located mostly in water. This makes the edges less obvious. Sceneries like Georender 6 will not blend as well. Here's what that scenery looks like:http://www.pcaviator.com/megascenery/forum...p?showtopic=615The solution is apparently to move Megascenery *above* those sceneries. You'll then get Megascenery's textures and Georender's 3D objects and actual airport. Once I get the scenery (two weeks for shipping to Sweden) I will also experiment with methods of transplanting the autogen from Mr. Goldstein's scenry to the Megascenery textures for more 3D detail. -
