C90 dll's crash F1 Citation Mustang

Featured Replies

I recently wanted to take up the Citation again (version 1.08a) and...it ended up by crashing fsx.  FSX reported the Flight1_GarminG1000_510.GAU as the faulty module.  I searched F1 Mustang's support site for a solution and the only one that worked was a suggestion by sky guider to use a clean fsx.cfg (http://mustang.flight1.net/forums/crashes-when-selecting-aircraft_topic3021.html)

I thought this could only be a temporary solution and I searched for the culprit within my fsx.cfg, as the Citation used to work flawlessly before. I found two dll's from Carenado that, when disabled in the fsx.cfg, would allow the Citation to load without crashing.  These are the CarSound.DLL and the WX_Gauge_3D_C90KA.DLL from the Carenado C90 KingAir (SP1 and SP2) .

In case any of you experience the same problem with the Citation crashing due to a reported faulty Flight1_GarminG1000_510.GAU and if you have also the Carenado C90 KingAir installed, try to disable those two dll's and see what it gives for you.

I am posting this here as I do not know of an official Carenado support forum.
