When you save a flight three files are created by FSX with the following extensions - .PLN .FSSAVE .WX with the three extensions preceded by whatever you named the flight. These file are located in My Documents/Flight Simulator X Files You need to right click on each file and left click delete for three files for each flight you want to get rid of.

Understand that I am working with FSX not FS9. It looks like for each saved flight there are four files created and saved in PMDG/MD-11/panelstate. I would imagine those files also need to be deleted. Thanks for adding your name.

Thanks for your time . I have searched my computer files in FS9 and found what I was looking for ,As follows-Computer, Disc C, program Files, Microsoft games,FS9,PMDG,MD11,Panel state. There is sometimes 2 files and sometimes three, RTE and SAV files. I deleted the unwanted items .[Careful to not delete the default items] Checked in the MD11 save files and the items selected had gone. Arthur Melton

I really have no idea why I have 8 files for only two saved flights, but as long as your didn't delete any panel states such as cold and dark, before engine start, etc. you should be fine.
