Loss of keyboard functions

Featured Replies

On a long haul flight today, I had a complete loss of keyboard functions for the PMDG 777. Regained by saving flight and restarting the sim.

I am running PMDG 777, vPilot and ASN on the same PC. All functions of vPilot and ASN were still working correctly, including keyboard input. To save my flight I could still use the FSX P key to pause the sim for saving.

So the problem appeared to be restricted to PMDG 777, rather than FSX.

Any suggestions?

Cheers, Richard

Hi Richard

Having read your post reminded me of an identical situation with a flight of mine. In my instance the issue was self inflicted. I had clicked the bottom of the FMC screen to get direct keyboard entry to the FMC, Then forgot I had done this, and when using the keyboard for the flight sim it refuses to respond to keyboard entries until you remove the "green box" on the FMC for direct keyboard entry. Could this have happened to you?

Hope this is all it was

Hi John,

Very nice thought, but I have never used this function and I am sure that this was not the case here.

Once you click for the green box at the foot of the FMC screen, the P key is available to the FMC and not to FSX.

Still mystified,

Regards, R
