Port of Charleston Water...where to start to fix this.

Featured Replies

Hi guys,   I have a question, which not sure what forum to put this, so I am starting here.  Mainly I am trying to track down the start of where to fix the issue noted below. May or may  not be FTX related, so am looking for general advice.

I am not sure if this a REX issue, an FSX issue or possibly an Orbx FTX Global or Vector problem.  I use all four to my great enjoyment.  However, I have noted around certain port areas, where deep water ports exist (and ships in the sim), the water is displayed as shallow, light blue tropical reef area.   This is the case around Charleston SC, which is a major deep water port.   There are some light blue areas as seen in the image below from Google Earth, however the port area itself, is a 50 ft deep or deeper dredged area.   I would like to know how to address this.  in FSX, as seen below, there is MUCH too much shallow reef area.

Is this a problem with the waterclass in this area, a thing that I can address in REX Essential plus OD, which I own, or with FTX as I also own FTX Global and Vectors. The sim works fine, and I am just interested in where to start the exploration.    if I need to do something the water class, then I suppose I will need to figure out the SDK, which I know

nothing of.
