New 2560 X 1440 monitor

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

I ' m considering to buy a 2560 X 1440 monitor (Dell U2713HM).

My current setup is :

i5 2500 (non K) 3,3 Ghz

8 GB Ram Xms3  Corsair 1333

msi gtx 770 2GB

CX600 PSU

22'' 1680 X 1050 monitor (plus a 17 '' monitor to undock the pfd and nd).

I fly exclusively with    pmdg 737 ngx + ASN + REX +ORBX (ftx england , ireland, plan to buy the Global -  vector -  open lc  package)  + few   airport addons.

(Also, i fly   dsc a-10 and falcon bms 4.32).

Right now  in the Uk2000 stansted airport  +  ftx eu england +ASN + REX  on the ground i' m getting about 15   FPS (scenery settings to High), at low altitutes over 20.

What framerates should i expect to see  in 2560 X 1440 resolution?

i was also considering to upgrade the cpu (i7 4790k), but  decided  to upgrade the  hardware only after the EDGE release  in DSC WORLD).

You should be fine with those specs as long as maybe you dont try to run a three monitor setup like that. I could see issues then, but then again, I think anyone would see issues at those resolutions with only one card.
