Nylon Bushing Lube for Saitek Yoke

There are references on the net that recomend white lithium grease or spray, or some other nylon friendly lube, for a metal shaft with nylon bushings. Yet despite well known sticking problems, Saitek says not to lubricate the metal shaft of its Proflight yoke? Any ideas why?
