That KFC 230 AeroCruze AP replaces the KAP 140 AP on the various Lancair Legacy analog panels. The KAP 140 will no longer be available on the FSW Lancair Legacy.

My understanding is there are no future plans to implement the "RNAV side of it".

What's not implemented are some of the "before GPS" RNAV aspects of that RNAV/NAV2 box. However, the NAV2 radio aspect is fully functional.

I don't see anything on page 6 of the Flysimware C414 manual regarding the Nav2 radio, so not sure what manual you are referring to -- sorry. However, directly below is a picture of the original panel from the actual IRL C414 that was used as the model for the Flysimware C414. This IRL Nav2 radio is the same one as in the Flysimware C414 GNS 530 panel, which is the second picture below. So Nav2 is not missing. You use the white keyboard to tune Nav2 which in the Flysimware picture just happens to be tuned to 109.1. One thing to be aware of is Spad.Next may not support assigning a keyboard key to directly activate a sim event (K-event, etc) or a script. I say may because I have not been a Spad.Next user for this reason (I like to use keys to activate certain scripts I've written), but things might have changed since the last time I checked. You can certainly assign buttons or switches to do that, so with the possible key assignment limitation aside, Spad.Next seems to be a very capable program based on how I've seen it used by others. I guess what this all comes down to is whether or not the AP certification of the KAP140 AP is important to a user of the Flysimware Legacy. My guess is it is not important to the vast majority of users, but I can see how it might be to users like yourself with IRL experimental aircraft experience. To each their own. Al

There are certainly Lancair Legacys out there with certified APs, for example the GFC500. Legacys are being updated all the time, and it could be a Legacy owner came across a good deal on a used KAP140 and decided to upgrade his AP.😉 Heck, some Legacy owners are even upgrading an analog panel to an all glass panel. Can't be cheap to do that. Al

When MSFS 2024 is loading, I keep getting the popup message "Download done, check your notification panel". I check notifications, but don't know how to determine exactly what download the popup message is referring to. Appreciate any ideas on how to end this popup. Thanks, Al

Currently I am not aware of any plans to update the C441 for FS2024.

FS2024 has two Community folders, one called just Community, and another called Community2024. Can anyone point me to some 'official' documentation or comments by Asobo that indicates which of the two Community folders is scanned first when the sim is searching for an aircraft file to load? It makes the most sense to me that the Community2024 folder would be searched first, but I would like to verify that. Thanks, Al

What's the downside to clearing these caches?

After the SU5 update, I was surprised to see Tobi as one of my controllers on the MSFS Controls setup screen, even though I don't own a Tobii. Turns out the problem was my yoke PID (Product ID) and VID (Vender ID) were both 0000. After updating these IDs with the help of the yoke's designer, Tobii thankfully "disappeared" from my controller list. The sudden appearance of Tobii has happened to a few others, reasons why currently unknown, so I'm curious how widespread this problem is, and what changed in SU5 to precipitate this. Thanks, Al

My "Tobii problem" is fixed! Chris replied almost immediately to my email to [email protected] and sent me instructions on how to download and use a utility to update the yoke PID and VID. Was not difficult and only took about 15 minutes or so, Outstanding customer support! Thank you Chris! Al

KKLEE, I have the same "Tobii problem" and will try contacting Chris. Can you describe how you were able to fix the yoke -- was some kind of firmware update required to update the PID and VID? Thanks, Al

Seems the problem is the livery needs to be updated unless it is one of the standard Flysimware liveries that comes with the plane.

Is there a way to switch to ver 0.5.0.0 while preserving my current settings? Also, I have forgotten, are there separate versions of the app I have to download for FS2020 and FS2024? Thanks.

Auto FPS is now not connecting to the latest 2024 sim and when I click on an update asking if I want to load the latest Auto FPS test update, I get an error message that says File does not exist at the given URL. What do I need to do to fix this? Thanks. Al

Make sure you have the latest version of the binding app, ver 1.6 (shows in lower right corner). There must be 1000s of Lear owners using this binding script successfully, really strange you are having this problem. When you contacted the developer what did he say? Al
