Who needs an airliner, anyway…?

Looks like the pending A2A Lancair Legacy RG is going to have a sweet set of pilot relief modes!

The advanced TruTrak Sorcerer autopilot:

It includes NAV and ILS tracking, VS and IAS modes, altitude preselect using its own built-in altimeter, GPS Steering, two different forms of VNAV, an optional autotrim module, on top of overspeed and minimum speed protection.

All of these features have been custom-programmed, and three custom fonts have been created for the sake of accuracy.

I knew I shoulda signed up for that Beta program when I had the chance 🤣

Looking ever more like a fantastic addon 😁👍

I'd rather have my teeth drilled than fly an A380.! But seriously, MSFS is a GA sim IMO. While the Lancair would have been my plane of choice in RL / FSX, the HJET is my high flying in-sim MSFS rocket for now and it's the best way to enjoy MSFS 2024 without question.

Also, while the Phenom is cool, I find the HJET is the coolest of the current crop of MSFS Bizjets

Cheers

I got lambasted a few years ago for daring to suggest that. 😁

Being a fan of Concorde it flies at an altitude of 28,000ft subsonically before the reheats are engaged when it climbs up to FL530-600 at Mach 2.

If you’re going to follow procedures correctly you wouldn’t go supersonic until clear of populated areas. I’m still wondering how different the view would look of the North Atlantic 11 miles up and above all weather in any of the three main sims.

Not much is my guess. 😉

An analogue Lancair Legacy with the correct, prototypical, appropriate autopilot in it....... I can't wait! 😉

I never understand where those comments come from.

Any sim is whatever you make of it. 🤙

In re the view from on high, you might be pleasantly surprised, esp getting up there and then down.

I posted because Sky Pilot’s post reminded me of that discussion.

The view is just sea and sky with the clouds way below my aircraft. But both MSFS and XP don’t have a very accurate Concorde so what you might gain with one sim you lose with the other.

While P3D doesn't have one that is up to today's modern visual standards. Hoping there's a user made re texture pack addon out there with basic ambient occlusion maps at the very least.🤢

Firstly, be aware no one in the UK can see your embedded image due to UK data laws. Other hosting sites are available.

Whether the FS Labs Concorde lacks the visual accuracy of other developers is of little interest to me. What is important is the accuracy of the flight model and nothing comes close to theirs.

I’ve no idea what you mean by “basic ambient occlusion maps”.

Ambient Occlusion mapping, the stuff that would benefit the FSL Concorde's cockpit surfaces from looking like a smeared sea of grey blob with pitch black 8 bit yoke textures in 2026. As for the UK data laws, they have proven to be very effective by saving your eyes from the outdated eye sore of visuals I've posted.

Do you have the FSL Concorde for P3Dv5? It looks nothing like that to me.

Neither a good P-51 Civ Mustang, nor Super Hornet. Prepar3D lives on! 😎

Looks like FSW will probably replace theirs with the AeroCruze/KFC 230, if that means anything to you.

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

The reason I said MSFS 2024 is a GA sim be cause it is. 🤤

Or GA flyers enjoy it more instead of looking at landing gear.
