  1. Black Square is actually working on a fix for that, how about that? And that fix will make the shutdown of the engine also better 🥳
  2. You're referring to me? If so, stop the name calling, I resent that. Why can't folks accept someone else having a different view? Indeed it is.
  3. That's an interesting question. It would not be realistic, in the sense the mixture is not completely cut off. But seeing the mixture lever pulled back all the way is of course more immersive, because you see on screen what you would see in the real thing.
  4. Would be nice indeed. When I come in for landing RWY 05 at EDWN there are usually people standing on a dirt road just before the runway. Also, what about the approach over the beach at Princess Juliana International Airport? That would definitely look more appealing. Yet, even first person shooters, like Sniper Elite for instance, only show empty streets. Apart from the enemies of course. Probably for a reason...
  5. It's not 'just a tiny bit off from real life', come on Ryan 😂 It's quite different from how you should start that type of engine. (The core of MSFS has it wrong. That's why I hardly use the default C172 as well). It's perfectly fine you don't care about that, but I and others do. Doesn't mean though I don't enjoy the plane once that engine is running. There is so much detail, it is an amazing addon! Nick is a very talented developer. I understand his argument not to model the startup procedure as it is in real life, that developers need to make compromises, but this feature would make this plane perfect! As mentioned before, A2A did it right, so it can be done. I would easily pay more for a Black Square Commander with correct startup procedures. I might indeed not have purchased the Commander if I had known about the wrong startup procedure before. If it were Carenado I would have expected it, maybe even accepted it. But in this gorgeously modelled and detailed Commander it just stands out. To me it is therefore less satisfying. What is hilarious about that? Like I said earlier, I'm a sucker for realism. I know I'm sitting behind a screen, pretending to fly that plane, but I just like it when the whole model approaches the real thing as close as possible, from startup to shutdown. The starting of the A2A Aerostar engines is just nicer, like in the old days already, with their C172 and C182. Why? Because it is true to real life.
  6. You are right, it is a fantastic addon. Nick is even considering adding the extra realism as you may have read at the Justflight forums. So who knows? For now I might take up the advice of @JYW 👍
  7. Not according to this manual: https://manualzz.com/doc/29709762/lycoming-o-540--a---b---e---g---h---f---j---l--io-540--a-...?utm_source=chatgpt.com&p=28 Also, check here, where the developer is chiming in: Just Flight CommunityIs it maybe possible that the startup procedure is incorr...Is it possible that the startup procedure is incorrect? In all the Commander 114 checklists I could find online, it states that—typical for Lycoming engines—...
  8. Oh bummer. I really don't like this. It seems A2A is the only developer doing it right... I probably wouldn't have purchased the plane if I had known this before, no matter how good it is besides this. I'm just a sucker for realism. No he doesn't. Well, based on page 3-2 of this manual it seems Black Square has got it wrong: https://manualzz.com/doc/29709762/lycoming-o-540--a---b---e---g---h---f---j---l--io-540--a-...?utm_source=chatgpt.com&p=28
  9. Thanks! I haven't got the system yet, for now it's only present in my signature. The shop is waiting for the delivery of the SSD. I hope to get it next week. As it is my holiday I'll finally do some serious flying and make use of all these addon purchases 😁
  10. Yesterday I bought the Blacksquare Commander 114. I have yet to do my first flight in the Duke, Bonanza and Baron of the same developer... Nevertheless I bought myself a new computer this week. I need more power for all that flying I don't do 🙃
  11. I get it too. Today I also installed the Bonanza, which does not give the error. The installer of the Commander does...
  12. They were willing to do the extra work as I understand 😉 But yeah, if they would have charged for it some of us might get upset 😄
  13. Ok, thanks but no thanks 🙃 So they were willing to go the extra mile to make their analogue Legacy even more realistic 🤔 I would have encouraged them to do that different AP...
  14. I hear you. I'm a sucker just like you 😁 I don't understand why some developers don't go that extra mile. Talking about the digital Legacy, it seems weird the secondary radio is linked to the battery instead of the avionics master, but maybe this is true to life...
  15. So you're not interested in national licenses? I have a Dutch national microlight license (max MTOW 600 kg). I'm a pilot too, you know! 😜
  16. Well, let's just say I'm not making a fuzz about it like you do most of the time. Of course it is not wrong to want a product to get better. That's what I want too, there is still a lot of room for improvement. But again, I do not know what is going on behind the scenes, I can not even start to imagine how complex this software is. So how would I be able to judge the skills of Asobo? How would it help in any way if I call the developers incompetent? In my view your judging and degrading comments about the team do not really contribute much to solving the issues. But that's just me 😉 I'm pretty satisfied with the lack of sarcasm in my reply. How about you?
  17. No more Carenado for me. They still seem to have an audience though...
  18. Well, you seem to think you have a monopoly on the truth. You repeatedly judge the developers as if you know exactly what is going on behind the scenes of this extremely complex project. So yes, your expertise could skyrocket this simulator to perfection! They need people like you to do their quality control. Excuse my sarcasm.
  19. I have a hard time believing they still haven't hired Marc. A missed opportunity 🙃
  20. 😲 Do you have any idea how obnoxious your behavior is? I guess not...
  21. Usually, I’m open-minded and willing to try to understand someone else’s point of view, but I’m having a hard time with this one… 🤔
  22. The traffic seems to be moving in lockstep. They all start moving simultaneously, which seems artificial. Is this something you have looked into?
  23. Tell me, where do you see any promise in what was posted here?
