September 5Sep 5 You can always count on Giuseppe to ask the right questions! Weather and a number of other great topics are addressed in this interview so be sure to give it a watch. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.
September 5Sep 5 The "cool world update stuff" that I would like to see would be improved OSM data for northern Sweden/Norway/Finland, and also western Greenland. It really frustrates me when I see polygonal lakes (or lakes that are offset from the ground image), and also black "land" between the water and the photoscenery coastline (because of that low resolution OSM data). An update for ESNQ Kiruna at the same time would be nice 🙂Oh, and there is a terrain mesh problem on the Greek coast east of Corfu that needs to be fixed (deep cut in the landscape). September 5Sep 5 Why do youtubers think that constant loud music helps an interview video? I wonder if youtube pushes it somehow?Unfortunately I think that however many times Jorg talks about the impossibility of getting scan data for much of the world we will still get the same complaints when a new WU is released that it isn't Africa or Asia etc

September 6Sep 6 Didn’t get much more new info with this interview. Even if questions may be interesting, some interest hard core simmers, Jorg is super professional to share just what he wants. September 6Sep 6 I do admire their persistance, but the progress made with AI traffic and liveries is actually laughably embarrasing for them. Jorg has been talking about seeking permissions from airlines since the launch of 2020. Sounds like they just got Lufthansa....amazing.... that takes the total number of airlines with accurate paints in the base sim to almost a dozen (if even that).Thank God we have FSLTL and AIG...... if we were waiting in Microsoft to provide liveries it would never occur. September 6Sep 6 Aside the airlines liveries (a law firm job), we see on forums a lot of complains on Weather engine or the drama of the AI traffic landing gears, but the ATC seems to be totally abandoned from the user perspective. I know that under the hood, Jorg and Mathias stated "it's complex" and that WorkingTitle is (was?) on it, and it opens the market to Beyond ATC and Say Intentions with very much real voices, far better interaction and less (very) scripted scenario. Something that should looks like (at least) at the level of 2026. The AI was has not impacted ATC in the stocked MSFS ;) Vincent B. September 6Sep 6 That Lufthansa part of the interview did puzzle me. Anyone wanting to have a Lufthansa livery for their own aircraft presumably just downloads a freeware version. If anyone wants to see Lufthansa AI planes, they can download an AI package like AIG or FSLTL. That being the case, what is this new feature actually for? Maybe users of the console versions? I assume that they do not have access to the AI packages that PC users do? September 6Sep 6 Nothing new or groundbreaking in that interview (agreed that music overlay is awful!), the weather response was yet again completely lacklustre. September 6Sep 6 Always nice to see Jorg's enthusiam and commitment to the sim!On the odd chance that he might read this... It sure would be nice if model matching for multiplayer/group flights could be improved further! At least we no longer have airliners dropped into a GA flight, but having a twin engine Caribou appear when you are expecting a low wing prop plane (BKSQ Commander) is still far from ideal. This was better in FSX, so we know it can be improved. Kindly put this one on the fix list! 🙂And yes, please fix the disappearing nose wheel as well 😉 Edited September 6Sep 6 by Bert Pieke Bert
September 6Sep 6 Took some notes:Reno/Roswell air races:Original 2020 release was far too simplified and gamified, and they realize this was what made it unpopularHave/are working with IRL folks to bring a balanced level of realism to racing. So at least you can cook your engine now! 😁Major dev focus:bug smashingCareer (remains extremely popular)World Updates:There are a notable number of countries who flatly refuse to open their airspaceThere are some net new areas already in the pipeline.S Korea and India have recently changed their overflight rules, but it will take at least a year or three…haven’t even bothered asking PRCLiveries:Lufthansa said no for over 5 years. “You get 40 No’s and then on the 41st ask you finally get a Yes”There are people who work full time on licensing liveries and suchOther liveries exist but not yet releasedEtcetera:In discussions with Bombardier (has been “No” for a long time, so this is good! My hope is for GulfStream to lighten up, too).Weather and AI improvements are actively under developmentJorg is personally very pleased to bring the Heinkel to the sim. Was the fastest airliner in the world!Jorg says two things:They DO heavily listen to community feedback, AND not only does that go to the dev team, BUT also to external companies and governments to allow licensing deals, etc. he wants us to post about what we want and what our priorities are He’s grateful for all our support and as excited as ever!
