Periodic FPS drop

Featured Replies

Hello,

Could anyone please help me, I've got a nice framerate of 20-30FPS while on the ground and flying but when I'm flying every 3-5 seconds my framerate drops to 3-7 FPS which causes a huge stutter and unflyable situations.. Anybody an idea as to how I could eliminate these stutters?

Please take this feedback with a grain of salt as I am no authority on the subject but it sounds like if this is a constant, repeatable stutter happening then I would think there is some process that is interrupting your gameplay.  I would suggest downloading the utility ProcessExplorer.  It is much like Microsoft's Task Manager but I think with more options.  I just d/l it myself and reading up on what it does exactly.  But I know several simmers use it to track and isolate their processes, memory useage and CPU cores.  It might allow to see what process kicks in when you experience the stutter.

Hope that helps...
