July 21, 201411 yr After I installed SP1 I now get FMC displayed in the message area. I cannot clear it out per the MCP buttons. It's on the same screen as the engine monitoring just to the right of EGT. Thoughts?
July 21, 201411 yr Commercial Member After I installed SP1 I now get FMC displayed in the message area. I cannot clear it out per the MCP buttons. It's on the same screen as the engine monitoring just to the right of EGT. Thoughts? When you get this *FMC alert, the plane is telling you to look for a message from the FMC. Look down at the CDU and see what it is saying. It's alerting you to some sort of uplink: PERF, WIND or ALTN. If you cleared the message before reading it (bad, baaaad habit, so try to break yourself of it), go to the FMC COMM page and look for any prompts there. Kyle Rodgers
