P3D V2.2 - Lockheed's own L1011 - Lisbon (Portugal) to Nice (France)

Featured Replies

My first completed flight in Captain Sim's version of Lockheed's own L1011.  This is a wonderful aircraft, lots of systems simulated and even a weather Radar.  This was my first "full" flight from Lisbon (Aerosoft's) Portugal to Nice France -- still learning my way around this aircraft so please excuse the numerous errors.  In addition to testing out CS L1011, I wanted to see how well Orbx's new OpenLC EU looked.

Aerosoft did an amazing job with this airport ... very impressive ... think it deserves a longer helicopter flight to really show it off.

Add-on's:

Captain Sim L1011

Aerosoft's Lisbon 2.0

Orbx FTX Global + Vector + OpenLC EU + PILOT's FSGlobal 2010 FTX Edition Mesh

When flying heavy complex aircraft I usually lock frames at LM's recommended default of 20 fps ... I however recorded at 30 fps using nVidia Shadow Play.  Night time flying doesn't come out so well with Shadow Play recordings ... unfortunately lots of video compression but Shadow Play has no impact on fps (unlike FRAPS which is a 3-4 fps hit).

Cheers, Rob.

Ironic your flying a Lockheed in a sim made by Lockheed lol

Isn't it just ... that flight crews cockpit area is massive ... can fit a small gym in there :)
