I would like to know how much the tutorial flight teaches you about flying the 777. I want something that basically replicates what real world pilots would do when flying the 777. Is that the the tutorial offers. If not what does.

If you are referring to Tutorial 1, it's sufficient to get you flying and landing.

 

Some years ago, someone else wrote a great tutorial for the PMDG 747, but I haven't seen any other in depth tutorial for the 777.

A tutorial is for a kick start.

 

To fly it like the real one, they provide you thousand's of pages of manuals called the FCOM, FCTM and QRH. Go through them all, understand them all. And yes, real world pilots do read them.

 

A single tutorial can never concentrate on every single instrument of the aircraft.
