  1. I downloaded SP1c today and found it's the same name and size as the one I downloaded Oct 2014. Also, Ops Center says my installed version is 1.10.6155 with 1.10.6320 (SP1d) available. So, I don't need this to update after all???
  2. Thanks, can I download the package to update instead of using the Ops Center?
  3. So, if I run FSX without logging into Steam, then I don't need to update to SP1c or SP1d?
  4. I know, except that section and other forums are so big it's not easy to find what you want. On the other hand, someone who has been using P3D for sometime should be able to point me in the right direction more easily ... rather than being rude about it. So, you don't need to convert them and they will work straight away in P3D? Regards, Harry
  5. I was more interested in P3D tweaks like Kostas for FSX and if the airports and AI aircraft that comes standard are fine or is it possible to install freeware airports and sceneries like those in FSX. I can imagine there are many threads about P3D tweaks and tips, and a forum is general the best place to ask short of Google.
  6. Rod, +1 as in I agree with you. As my Vref+5 is for flaps25 and higher speed, it takes longer for the aircraft to slow to a minimum for the reverse thrusters to kick in ... just a theory.
  7. This assumes you have bought Fly Tampa for FSX, right? What are the standard airports and AI traffic like in P3D? Can you point me to the thread, please. Also, is there a thread with guidelines and tips on installing P3D and configuring it on Win 7 64-bit? Cheers, Harry
  8. +1 What's your VRef+5 speed for landing? Mine's usually 153 or 154.
  9. Thanks for the preview Robert ... the B777 looks really amazing  Please give existing PMDG 777 a discount or trade-in for P3D  Cheers, Harry
  10. Alright, I finally got the reverse thrusters opened just before the nose gear came down last night. I had to keep holding F2 after the main gears touched down for a good 4 seconds or so ... is this what everyone has to do?
  11. OK, thanks Antoni. I press F1 when I hear the Minimums call out at 50 feet and then F2 when the main gears touch down. Next, I press and hold down F2 a second time. Should I press and hold F2 once when the main gears touch down?
  12. Do you mean flick the A/T lever down (switch off)? I shall give this a try tonight Cheers, Harry
  13. I always press and hold F1 before the main gears touch down and then press F2 twice with the 2nd press holding down the button. I don't use a yoke or joystick ... just the keyboard Cheers, Harry
  14. I don't have FSUIPC installed, and still can't get the reverse thrusters to activate until the nose gear is down.
  15. Has SP1c added the GE-90-115B engine config for B772-LR b/c last I time checked, t'was still using the GE-90-110B engines.
  16. Thanks guys for releasing this package as scheduled this time I'm testing my first flight after installing it, and so far everything is running smoothly, and noticed there are more texture details interior and exterior?
  17. What are the differences if Wet is selected?
  18. I couldn't help myself smiling and laughing when I read the title and the OP's experience in this thread ... comments from others about finding the black box and using Alt-F4 didn't help me from holding back either I had a similar experience where after a couple of hours flight from VNKT, the EICAS or the one above it displayed a warning that my right engine's oil temperature was overheating. After another hour, it decided to shut down. I could have tried to land into VHHH with one engine, but decided to cheat by going to FS Action in the FMC to reset all failures. The right engine started slowly as if the aircraft was on the tarmac ... really? In real life, how much lead time or tolerance would the Boeing system give you about such maintenance issues before failing?
  19. I found increasing TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT value from 40 to 150 has significantly reduced the time lag between external and VC view. My TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD is set to 4096 and am using a GTX760OC with 4GB RAM. Hope this will help you.
  20. hsung replied to slimfly's topic in PMDG 777
I'm interested to know how PMDG selects the beta testers - do they select testers using different rigs, configurations, etc.?
  21. Hi, I have been getting system failures after some time flying despite they are disabled after updating to SP1b. Is there a way to completely disable failures now? Cheers, Harry
  22. Should have mentioned this in the thread of README. Fortunately, I had backed up fsx.cfg and aircraft.cfg beforehand ... after the experience with SP1
  23. Thanks for the update Robert ^_^ Looking forward to download it tomorrow. Cheers, Harry
  24. If you are referring to Tutorial 1, it's sufficient to get you flying and landing. Some years ago, someone else wrote a great tutorial for the PMDG 747, but I haven't seen any other in depth tutorial for the 777.
