I'll be starting twin training in one soon and I'd like a detailed one to use in FS9 for additional home training. Thanks in advance,

I don't think there is one, and be careful about using what's out there as it'll give you bad habits and feed you wrong info. You don't really need one anyway. Just memorize the numbers from the POH.The Duchess is a very easy plane to fly (some say almost too easy).I suggest the "On Top" IFR Sim if it's still around for getting up to speed on hold entries, etc.Bryan

I also trained on a Duchess. I went out with a digital camera-took some shots of the cockpit, and made my own. Saved me lots of time and money in training. I am out of town but when I get back I'll look and see if I still have it (I may have deleted it).

I'm sure that FS has some value in this area (although, that is debatable), a better approach is to see if you can arrange some actual cockpit time, ie) sit in the cockpit when the airplane isn't out flying, and familiarize yourself with the cockpit procedures. Along with that, spend as much time at home "chair flying", all of the required maneuvers. This will allow you to memorize the procedures, and help you to learn where things are in the airplane. This is the approach that I took for my MEL, and it worked out quite well. In fact, my on my first multi training flight, my airwork was within the PTS standards because of all of the chair flying. I don't think that flying in FS would have yeilded the same results, because I wouldn't have learned where things are in the cockpit by just clicking on a mouse. As a bonus, you get to hang out at the airport, and that's always a good thing.Tim13
