Triple Monitor And Multisampling Aa ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Over the next following days I am fine tuning my system regarding AA settings.

As I have a triple monitor setup in 5920x1080 resolution ehre  every small change in detail immediately has an impact on performance.

Currently I am testing at my heaviest framerate reducing environment : coming in from over sea and flying over NL2000 + AS Mega Airport Schiphol + 5 thick cloudlayers + 20% MT aircraft.

With SGSS at 2x , 4x or 8X my two Titans are at 99% most of the time using one wide view over 3 monitors.

When using just 3 monitor the load is around 60%.

To see what is possible I was thinking about trying with Multi Sampling without SGSS.

Perhaps I won't even stay with it, but just test what it will do on my system.

However , in all DX10 guides Always one need to use SGSS too.

So the simple question is : can I use MS and if so , what are my NVI AA settings then ?

Or can I just use :

AA-mode --> App Controlled

AA-setting --> Off

AA - Transp Ms --> Disabled

AA - Trans SS --> Off

Just finished testing.

Multisampling can be used and will give much better fps with lots of clouds around or just in general.

NVI

-mode --> App Controlled

AA-serring --> 8x or 16x

AA-trans M --> Enabled

AA-trans S --> Off

Lod Bias -1

In DX10SF

8x or 16x AA

AA Clouds Off

Happy flying !
