You may want to defragment your P3D disk, or at least those folders changed by the update. Windows writes in the Next Available sector and does not try to keep things together. So your new files may be in pieces.

Not the worst idea. I'm doing a clean install of Prepar3D v2.3 because I had the hotfix installed.
