Explanation:

 

My FSX installation resides on my SSD E: drive.

 

Scenery installations are installed there properly including V8.

 

My FSX/simobjects/Airplanes are directed to my F: drive due to a need for space on my SSD drive.

 

I am now getting numerous duplicate files when I start FSX.

 

The message is:

 

there are multiple objects with the same title name They must have unique title names.

 

The message continues:

 

AI DHC-2 Beaver Floats FSaddon

F:\FSX Aircraft\AI_Floatplane_DHC-2_Beaver_FSX................this message scrolls thru many different aircraft until FSX starts to load.

 

Can you tell me what additional files are loaded besides the normal Scenery and Texture files and where these additional files are loaded too.

 

I have posted this message in another forum not knowing where the proper forum would be.

I don't pretend to understand how FSX can look at two folders simultaneously, but Vic+ V8 installs dozens of repaints of SimObjects\Airplanes\AI_Floatplane_DHC-2_Beaver_FSX.  You'll have to make sure you only have a copy in one place.  The correct one has the aircraft.cfg file dated 14-Aug-2014.  The one installed with Van+ or Vic+ V7 has an older file.

 

You'll also need to remove one of the duplicate SimObjects\Boats\AI_Vessel_Pacific_Pilot_FSX.

 

Vic+ V8 also installs many \Effects, but duplicates should be harmless.

Also as I think of it I am having trouble with cyyj the airport is mostly underground Preset Vic locations are fine but choosing to go directly to cyyj

brings up airport below grade. Any ideas on this one? I have tried FTX Vector but cyyj is not listed. Anyways thanks for the help with the above.
