September 1, 201411 yr FSX Native 3D Support Thread for users of the FSX Native 3D Utility ===================================================== In process of uploading. ....... More action here soon.
September 20, 201411 yr Author I've had **Zero** questions or comments in regards to this utility, so it's a bit hard to know whether it is working fine for everyone who has downloaded it, or didn't work for you at all. Anyway..... I did add a version 2 to the library, which is quite an improvement over the initial version, and if you are using v1, please upgrade to v2. More changes are in the pipeline, which include: -Auto re-starting the 3D after loading a different aircraft, as the VC loads in 2D when you switch aircraft. -I have figured out a tidy means of allowing you to run in either window mode or full screen for Over/Under projection. -Will resume the view & zoom that you were on if you 'Start 3D' again during your flight. A note on the head tracking in v2. Inhibit X translation on your tracking software, as a slight X translation on one of the 3D views is how the 3D effect is achieved, and if the head tracking subsequently sets both left and right views to the same X position, then you'll be back into 2D. For those of you who have no idea what any of this is about, if you own a 3D projector/monitor/TV that is compatible with Side by Side (SBS) or Over/Under search the Avsim library for FSX Native 3D, and you can download the utility which will allow you to run FSX in 3D. If you don't have a 3D projector/monitor/TV, but are interested in whether what I claim has any merit, you can download the utility anyway, unzip the pictures I put with it, go and find a friend with a 3D TV or an appliance store that would like to sell you one, and check out the pictures.
