I have one of those little Saitek Flight Instrument Panel displays that I cant get to work in P3D version 2 and I am about to give up! :( I run Windows 8.1 64 bit operating system but I believe this is not be part of the problem as the drivers from the Saitek website now supports Windows 8.

 

Driver installs to c:\Program Files (x86) as well as some files to the c:\program files just as it did when I used to run it in FSX. I then edit the exe.xml file in c:\user\appdata\roaming\Lockheed Martin to include a start-up of the SaiflightX program. I notice that when I try and manually start the SaiflightX it will not run and says something about "cant start a side-by-side program".

 

Can this be a simconnect problem or something else perhaps? I do use a registered version of the latest FSUIPC module in addition to SPAD and Linda to control my other Saitek gear.

I use Windows 7 64bit and I also cannot use my saitek fip in p3d v2.3 either. I didn't find the exe.xml file in p3d only a dll. Have you made any progress in the situation?

Try and run the fsx sp2 simconnect from the redist in your p3d folder.
