Two questions??

I accidently deleted the file for the default Bell 206. Can anyone direct me as to where the file is located on the FS9 CDs'? Also,I attempted to install the FS9 Update but, after loading,I get a message"Unable to sucessfuly install update". No other message as outlined at Microsofts website. Any suggestions? I exited my firewall and anti-virus software before install. Thanks in advance for any help.Jim GoldenGySgt USMC (Ret)

Finding the missing Bell 206 file is actually very easy... You can search on the various FS9 CD's until you find the file. Problem is you have to know what file is missing. If you can tell us what the problem is we can point you to the file name... As far as the update problem I'm sure others here know more about this than me. There's been lengthy discussions of all sorts concerning verious problems with patch installs here on this forum... :-)

Thanks for the reply Dillon. I don't know what you mean about which file though. I deleted the entire default Bell 206 file. Does anyone know which CD and location of the default Bell on that CD? Thanks.Jim GoldenGySgt USMC (Ret.)

You'll need to read the FS9UpdateReadme before installation. There are numerous reasons for an unsuccessful update. You may not have the default .dll's in your module folder; FSUIPC.dll may not be up-to-date; your FS9.exe is not the original but replaced with the nocd program, etc. So you may need to "fix" FS9 according to the update readme file and updated info on Microsoft's website before you install the update. Hope this helps.Jim
