September 11, 201411 yr Hey guys; After trying to get used to the lower levels of AA available in DX10, I went on a quest to find better settings. I tried - 4x MSAA + 4x SGAA, which is my current setting. It looks reasonably ok, but the jaggies can be annoying if you look close. - 8x MSAA + 8x SGAA, looks perfect but nobody can run this ;~; - 8x MSAA + 4x SGAA, looks great despite being an incompatible relationship.. but still lags very hard as soon as clouds appear. - 8x MSAA + 8x SSAA, looks perfect, runs smooth in clouds but looks really weird in DX10: textures look like they are lacking anisotropic filtering and get blurry. I suspect this might be caused by my mipmapping of textures.. but this is nonsense because in DX9 with 8xSSAA everything was superly sharp. - 4x MSAA + 4x SGAA + FXAA I've found FXAA, at first I didn't try it because I thought it was only for the rotating aircraft. But I tried it anyways. The result was drop dead gorgeous, the sim looked so wonderfully smooth.. it was unbelievable. There had to be a cost, this was too good to be true! Yeah.. there is: since I run FSX in fullscreen, each time I take a screenshot, it would not have the driver FXAA applied to it. This is really annoying because when I take screenshots I like to make albums and wallpapers out of them. Basically, is there a way to capture FXAA in full screen screenshots? Or can I add FXAA to screenshots? Alternatively, could I use the FXAA injector to get the same effect without using the driver FXAA? Could I use SweetFx along with FXAA injector in DX10 FSX? Thanks for any help, sorry if this post sounds confusing. Cheers,
