Random as I am flying when I turn to the Spot view I will notce that non of the light are working anymore, the engines aren't spinning but I still keep cruise speed etc.

Also there is two random cones hanging from the top of tail and from the stabilizer.

 

1) why does this happen?

2) how do I stop/ control?

There's a section in there that goes into detail about reloading the aircraft on top of itself, which is what I'm guessing you're doing.  Basically, if you want to switch liveries, switch to a different aircraft (like the Cessna) first, and then switch to a different 777 livery.

 

Additionally, you shouldn't set the 777 as the default aircraft in the sim.  Use a default Microsoft aircraft as the default aircraft that the sim loads up with.
