April 10, 200521 yr i have a weird problem when in flight, when im in flight my air speed indicator will go to zero , also the standby indicator will do the same thing, im not for sure why it does that it does it mostly at the end of a flight, does not matter what plane im flying you look down and the indicator is at zero, the plane is still going it regular speed but you now dont know how fast you are going, in about five minute it will correct itself, but somtimes at the wrong time.Does anyone no whats going on.Thanks..........................Robert
April 10, 200521 yr My guess from the many other posts about this same(?) problem is that you are neglecting to put on the pitot heat and thereby freezing the KinHardly valve stems in your air-speed indicator.Andy.
April 11, 200521 yr Hi Andy - really my question was very earnest - what is a KinHardly valve stem? I've never heard of it! Can you tell me please? Thanks so much! Best regards
