MCE and FS9 PMDG 737NG?

All,

Due to the age of my computer (6+ years), I still do a lot of airliner flying in FS9.  I have the venerable PMDG 737NG package and would like to know if MCE works with it.  I saw in the manual that I should copy the .ini file into the PMDG folder, but my co-pilot doesn't seem to be able to read the instruments.  Am I missing something or is this just a fact of life using FS9 and PMDG 737NG with MCE?  Any and all help would be appreciated!
