crash after SP1 installed

Recommended Posts

After installing SP1C for the PMDG 777, shortly after takeoff (flying the 777) FSX shuts down with a message saying that a program quit working and must shut down. It has happened twice now.

Has anyone else had an issue with this?

No problems before the SP1 install.

Nope, this was never experience by any of us during testing and not reported in forum. Congrats, you seem to be the first.  What is FSX error reporting? Does it give a module name perhaps a dll?

When after takeoff is this happening? Are you still in the initial climb out below 1000 ft, 3000 ft? Can you reproduce it at different airports?

Bottom line, there does not seem to be a SP1C bug causing this so you'll have to do some fault isolation.

You said no problem before SP1 install, not clear if you mean that literally or mean SP1B or SP1C?

Thanks for the reply, I was meaning SP1C, sorry. Event viewer: Application error, faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10,0,61637,0, faulting module name: PMDG_777X.DLL, version: 1,0,0,0,

Faulting application path: C\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Gauges\PMDG_777.DLL

Faulting module path: C\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe

I just flew the 300ER from KDEN to KSFO, no problems at all. Using ASN and Simbrief. It seems to be fine now.

The flights the I had issues with were from EHAM to EGLL and KSFO to PHKO. I will post another topic if this happens again.

Thank you
