April 22, 200521 yr Hi Guys,I seem to have a problem when I track to a VOR in 'NAV' mode. The plane doesn't track directly to the station, but turns off to one side or the other (as displayed on the FSNavigator window). The plane eventually gets to the station, but never directly. Yet, if I utilize the GPS mode, the plane tracks directly to the station without any wander at all.Does this happen to you? Is there something wrong with my set up or what?Looking forward to some of your thoughts.John
April 22, 200521 yr Author as Jeroen says,it's normal behaviour.most pilots use heading to intercept the vor radial,at least,in the DC8.tataJP.
April 22, 200521 yr Like MS says, "As Real as It Gets"I'm hoping that they add some more realism to navaid rececption at the fringes of it's range. They already have service volumes done pretty well, but I'd like to see some scalloping and intermittent reception as you fly in/out of range.
April 22, 200521 yr and of course terrain masking reception, atmospheric conditions influencing reception (including ghost signals bouncing off the stratosphere), etc. etc.Which would all mightily confuse a lot of people, leading them to give up and scream how bad FS is for not giving them a steady signal everywhere.
