reverse thrust for the x55

Hi Guys

finally got my hands on an x55 at a reasonable price and I'm looking for some advice for setting reverse thrust for my twin engine jets I am not a fan of the saitek software preferring FSUIPC

I currently use the saitek throttle quadrant  which works perfectly as the bottom part of the lever acts as a switch which is set for my thrust revese so I know when i hit idle and any further movement triggers the reverse

So I wondered what other folks are using to trigger the reverse?

I could set a couple of buttons for reverse but that not as realistic
