White areas in Suisse2004 scenery

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.I just downloaded the wonderful Suisse2004 scenery by Daniel Gauthier and I noticed there are white "sheets" sticking out of the ground around the beautiful city of Lausanne right around Lausanne La Bl

This is caused by missing textures. I think that Daniel mentions extra textures you need to download in his installation instructions.David

Hope you manage to fix your problem.I had similar issues and I found that they were caused by tree .bgl files. For example I downloaded an airport for Thailand and got those "white sheets" all over the place so I deleted a file called "trees.bgl" and the problem was solved :)If you want to try this dont forget to *backup* the file first but more than likely the fellow Avsimmers post above is what you need to do: get the extra plugins the Suisse author says you require.Sorry for going off-topic but I was curious - what exactly is Daniel Gauthier's scenery? Does it add just extra Swiss airfields (that were not included in FS9), does it replace default airfields with GMAX ones or does it upgrade the scenery only? (eye-candy..hills, rivers, landmarks etc.)Thank you :)

I installed all the extra textures that Daniel mentioned. I think if I didn't, the airport buildings would end up being white.>Hope you manage to fix your problem.>>I had similar issues and I found that they were caused by tree>.bgl files. This white sheet problem is the only problem I have found so far and it only appears around this airport from what I can tell.I highly recommend the scenery.Regards

Right on! I must get that then!! :)

I do not have these white blocks, which seem to me missing tree textures. Do you have Gerrish's trees installed as mentionned in the install.txt ? If not look for trees_v3.zip.BestsPeter
