  1. I found the solution ( in my case it did not depend on the ownership issue ): In "simobject\airplanes" I only have payware, whilst all FSX default aircraft are in a folder called ( + declared in fsx.cfg !) "simobjects\airplanes FSX". I copied the default C172 into the "simobject\airplanes" folder and finally the xgaugewizard installed the gauge. Obviously the xgaugewizard routine looks for the default C172 in "simobject\airplanes" and if not found it abords installation. Thanks anyway. Peter
  2. Vic, thanks for your input. As my FSX is not installed in the default location but in H:\FSX it is my understanding there should not be a problem with ownership, but I will give it a try. Peter
  3. I have installed AS2012 with no problem but the xgauge-wizard will not install the xgauge. I have FSX closed, UAC off, run FSX and the wizard as Admin but continue to get the error that I do not have enough rights. I appriciate any help Thanks, Peter
  4. Can someone please explain how are the criteria of the movement/angles of these FSX jetways ? I am adapting a FS9 airport for use in FSX adding FSX-jetways. I added the jetways and they are moving ... but they attach to the aircraft in a wrong angle. In my case jetways are not attached to a building but to a fixed bridge so there is practically no forward movement but a sidewards movement necessary: the mainbody (=extendable part) of the jetway should turn about 70 degrees and the bridgehead about an additionally 20 degrees. Unfortunately the bridgehead turns way too much. Thanks for some advice Peter oops, here is the attachment ... Peter
  5. Hi, I have not been to the forum for some time but noticed now that many ( or most or all ?? ) posts end with an external link "Click here for more information." Clicking on this link, while I am logged in, I always get an 404 error: NOT FOUND The requested URL /viewdownload.php was not found on this server. I am using Firefox. So what is the link good for? What have I missed during my absence? Thanks, Peter
  6. Glad that I could help. I do not like to put scenery files into the generic Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\ - Folder as one can forget about those or after some time one does not anymore understand to which scenery a specific file belongs. I suggest to create always a own folder with a full name like "Landclass VHHH by Kwong" which I activate separately in the scenery.cfg. it is easier to track it.Ciao, Peter
  7. Just an idea:deactivating a scenery in the scenery.cfg does not necessarily mean that all files of such scenery are not active... The readme of VHHH2005b says: 2. Unzip "af_lc.zip" to: Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery(This is the AFCAD file and Landclass file.)Unless you do not deactivate the whole Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\ - Folder the VHHH landclass file will remain active. Check if the file VHHH_lc.bgl is in there and rename it to VHHH-lc.bak. Your anomalies should be gone.Than follow Clutch's advice if you want to keep both VHHX and VHHH ( http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...amp;hl=9Dragons )Ciao, Peter
  8. Oh, sure it is - I wanted just to point to other resources in case the original poster was not able to settle his problem :( Ciao, Peter
  9. There are 12 pages about this issue in the WOAI-Forum ( make a search for Unhandled exception ) - you might find the answer there.Ciao, Peter
  10. Ciao Maurizio, actually I am own of town and back only tuesday evening. I should have the files for LIMC and LIML - I will check. If by tuesday you do not have the files yet drop me a PM with your email address and I will send them to you.Ciao from LIPZPeter
  11. LIRF is on www.FlightSim.com - make a search for "ISD"several ISD-servicepacks are here: http://gianp.altervista.org/sorry, but no idea for LIMC, LIMLCiao, Peter
  12. Jive1as you are not familiar with these jetways I suggest you download the original package here http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=76947This is the same contents but has also a readme how to install/use these jetways. The easiest way to use these jetways is by placing them with programs like Instant Scenery or EZ Scenery at any airport you like.I suppose, however, that the LJLJ-scenery already contains a bgl file which uses these jetways. To my knowledge these jetties are not animated but static, so it will not be possible to move them to/from the aircraft as Chock explains.Ciao, Peter
  13. Maybe it is not what you are looking for, but these seem to be the only freeware add-ons available for Croatia:http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004.php#croatia.Ciao, Peter

Frankly, the Vatican is right there almost in the middle of your pic - the big round square is St. Peter's square. If you did not have the error before you added the Lazlo addon ( what is it?) and the mesh, I would just uninstall/deactivate such two before going for a new install of FS.Ciao, Peter
  15. I absolutely agree with Scott and Joseph. Also I noticed this strange behaviour only after reading this thread and I noticed that it happens the more your viewpoint is close to groundlevel. I am flying a heavy so my viewpoint is higher above groundlevel and the issue happens only at large distance so it does not disturb.Opa, I use the Afcad mentionned but same issue. I think it is definitely no Afcad issue. I might be wrong but Philomeena seems to use FS2002 for which the Lago scenery was originally built. Ciao Peter
  16. Martin, you have email.CiaoPeter
  17. Hi Martin, yes it is possible with some fiddle but it is worth it. I also use some other scenery items that fit. I did it some year ago and I will try to summerize the steps and let you know. Give me a day or two.CiaoPeter
  18. >Both are great. Had FT not released their version, I would>have never wanted anything more than 9D.>>I can say that I am missing one thing with FT. I would love to>see an AFACD that forces traffic to RWY13 like 9D had. Anyone>know of a source?I do not have FT being more than happy with 9Dragons, but from the pictures I have seen FT supports traffic for IGS RWY13.Have you tried to set your winds at 136 degrees and 8 kts ?Peter
  19. I have no problems with this scenery. From the pics also to me it seems an Afcad issue. Did you activate the option 'all scenery addon directories' AND 'include disabled directories' in ScanAFD ?The latest Afcad for this scenery is AF2_LIRN.bgl filesize 7499 dated 08/23/07. Is this the file ScanAFD finds ?You may try the following:Create a new folder and name it TEST. Within this folder create a subfolder Scenery and copy the AF2 LIRN.bgl there. Now activate the folder TEST in FS9 with the highest priority. This should result in a completely correct picture. If yes, than you have probably a hidden second AF2 file somewhere, if no than there is something messed up and you should try a re-install if not done already.>> Opa, the screenshots do not seem to be LIMG (northern Italy) but LIRN (southern Italy) Filename: Napulevola_LIRN_2006_1.2_Beta_3.rar which includes the above AF2-fileCiao, Peter
  20. 1000+ here with no problems, just longer loading time when firing up FS.Peter
  21. With 400+ entries in the Addon Scenery this may helphttp://www.nwlink.com/~erog/Quote from the author:Fixed: if many addons are installed (400+) the Addon Scenery entry might not be found, depending on its location within scenery.cfg.Ciao, Peter
  22. Thank you, Tom.as I am still not going for FSX, I think I will for the moment stay with EZ, also because I still use Lago's FSE which in my opinion is still the best program concerning features ( it includes dynamic scenery with tracks and sounds ). But there are no more new items coming up because Lago is gone and the exchange server is out. The negative issue with it is that scenery can be played only with this program and not stand-alone.Peter
  23. >If you decide to purchase, I personally think Instant Scenery>is the better program - more options and it works with FSX>also.Opa, could you please list the additional features Instant scenery has which EZ does not have? I have EZ and wonder if I should also go for Instant Scenery....Thanks, Peter
