April 26, 200521 yr For some reason I cannot perform a takeoff when using the Extra 300. After I apply full throttle the plane starts pulling a hard left, I lose all control, it spins out, and winds up crashing into the ground. I have all settings at full realism. This only seems to happen with with the Extra 300. Thank you.
April 26, 200521 yr Hi SuperFortress,The groundhandling in the default MSFS taildraggers is interesting. The P-Factor and/or torque are pretty aggressive with the sliders full-right. Maybe they tuned them for sliders at the mid-point? I don't know. But there is a great solution:Alexander Metzger, flight dynamics writer for Flight1's ATR and Dreamfleet's Bonanza has written an alternate airfile for the default Extra and some others. Check it out:http://homepage.iprolink.ch/metzger/index_e.htmlBest,Ken
April 26, 200521 yr Author You seem to be in need of some sort of rudder control, either pedals or twistable joystick. Start slowly, and increase power while you constantly compensate for the prop torque with the rudder. If you don't have rudder controls, you must check auto rudder in the realism settings, and maybe reduce the torque effects some. However, flying aerobatics w/o rudder control is very limited ...Eagle
