April 29, 200521 yr Thinking about the future of FS I feel some admiration for developers whose products are maybe a bit ahead of time today but are also avant-garde i.e. pioneers for the coming years.Take TrackIr for instance. In my opinion, in the not-so-distant future the interface with computers will be helmets, not only for games, but also for Windows and other programs. You will put helmet on and open one window in front, other one above, one on your left, and wherever you turn your head, you will be in this virtual reality. (I saw something like this in a movie, was it Johnny Mnemonic?) With FS, there will be no need for expensive multiple monitor setups, or wall projectors. You will be in a perfect, complete FS environment, isolated from the real world. I don't think I am just dreaming: appearance of TrackIr convinced me the future is coming fast. The other product I had in mind to commend is VoxATC. I simply don't see why would be unrealistic to expect from MS to include this kind of voice communication in the next FS version. It seems it uses voice recognition technology from MS itself, so they could work with things they know best. Both products are at this moment still imperfect in many ways, but methinks they deserve kudos for letting us feel winds of the future in our hobby.Neven
