November 26, 201411 yr Hello. I'm hoping someone might be able to answer a question for me regarding photo scenery and the layer(s) it should be on in FS9. Specifically the photo scenery from BlueSky Scenery. I am looking at some of these and have some trouble at a couple of places (that I know about so far anyway). For instance, at KRNO. Some, only some, of that airport is being overtaken by the photoscenery even when NAV2 is tuned to 117.0. It makes sense to me that the airport addon scenery should be on a higher level than the BlueSky Scenery and that's how I have it. But, some parts of the airport are still not showing the way it should. Is it possible something else is causing this to happen? I've never played much with the photo scenery items until now and would like to know the proper way to layering things. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
November 27, 201411 yr Hi. I'm probably not going to type anything helpful but I reckon a couple of screenies would be useful if you can supply them. Sometimes a mismatch between the mesh and the airport elevation (could be less than an inch) can make airport features disappear and show the ground beneath as you taxi over it but I get the feeling the problem you've encountered is on a larger scale. I think your layering is ok as it is - defaults then mesh then photoscenery then airport files then scenery objects should work fine. What is tuning Nav 2 to 117.0 meant to do? Cheers, D
November 27, 201411 yr Author 117.0 turns off his scenery at airports. It seems to only happen at a section of this airport so I'm finding it hard to pin down. That plus there is SO much addon stuff installed it's making it hard to find what is where exactly.
