Buying a LED TV for p3d 2.4?

Hi guys..

Been reading through some posts on this, but couldn't find a definitive answer to my own little question

Situation is now:

Using a Samsung 24" on my 660ti with DSR in play a 2x native res. I really love it and have a smooth sim.

In the interest of trying to get a bigger view I tried hooking up and old LCD HD-ready TV, but the highest possible resolution that I could select was just too low, and ade everything in the cockpit unreadable. That's why I'm here:

Question:

1. If I were to go buy a new or used LED tv, what would be the minimum supported resolution I should go for, to have a clear picture? If buying +40 screen size, will that have influence on the image quality vs. resolution.

2. How will my smoothness of the sim (FPS) be influenced by getting a bigger screen with a higher resolution??
