Active Sky Cloud Art for FSX & P3D - Released!
Another believer here. Came from ASN and Soft Clouds. 3 flights with AS16 and ASCA and I'm totally convinced. I was on the fence about buying, but o dear, am I glad I did! Out if LOWW today - thunderstorms all around with excellent textures. Performance was awesome. Highly recommended in my book.

AS16 + ASCA first full airliner flight........initial impression
mas618 replied to Flic1's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumGreat report - thanks a lot. Must say that I'm quite alerted by your cons list - weather popping or abrupt changing is my biggest hater right now. Hope they had it fixed...

FlightSimLabs A320 - Release Very Soon!
Considering that they have actually modeled how the fuel moves around in the tanks and how this in certain conditions can induce the fuel transfer valves to activate, I'm pretty sure that flight dynamics will leave very little to desire... http://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/4016-a320-x-fuel-system/#comment-18143 Looking forward to all you professionals opinions none the less!

VSync and triple buffering!
With prepar3d now some release cycles in, I was wondering : Will my i5 2500k @ 4.2 ghz HT=OFF, perform better at stock 3.2 ghz HT=ON? Never considered it before as I always thought that clock speed was the only important thing...? I run a 970 on the side... Currently going with unlimited, TB and vsync off, but will test with NI set to 30 and experiment with TB= on and vsync on.. Martin Edit: Forgot to thank you Steve for your never ending flow of valuable and science-like information!

P3Dv3 - VC Cockpit Stutter every 2 Sec..
Seems that I got efb and v3 along with the ngx running smoothly now (3 full flights). Only simconnnect version installed is the one from the FSX SP2 folder that ships with p3d. This is win10 with also fs2crew running. Furthermore I have vpilot and asnext running networked over simconnnect... It's all good...

P3Dv3 - VC Cockpit Stutter every 2 Sec..
Going to give it a whirl af sin with v3, but I'll keep my hopes low though..

P3Dv3 - VC Cockpit Stutter every 2 Sec..
Using Aivlasoft EFB? I use to have microstutters when using this om a remote computer via simconnect. Turning off the dataprovider om the FS machine, would cease the microstutters at once... Sø basically my experience was that simconnect can cause all kinds og hell... Martin

Loving Reboot - One Minor Issue
Pretty sure arrival airport is sufficient - works for me anyways. Just flew into LOWI, and my FO set 1500 (or there about)... Hadn't set the arrival runway at that point... Loving the new reboot btw! But sure am missing the pushback feature. Can't wait for Ultimate Ground crew x...

My mic works but FS2Crew can't hear me
FWIW I've just experienced a similar problem. So it turned out, that in the Realtek HD audio Manager (which is driving my headset), I had turned on Accoustic Noise Cancellation and Background Noise Reduction. That apparently did something in relations to my mic, and turning this off, got my mic back. When turned on, I was not able to see any microphone readout in the windows setup dialog/window and Fs2Crew didn't pick anything up, but was able to get a readout through the Realtek manager itself, which got me really confused in the beginning. By luck, I turned off the Noise reduction, and my mic came blasting back... Hope everyone got their stuff sorted out. Martin

JS41 PFPX
By all means, anyone who wants to do the conversion can just make the format FF/TAS... For info I have 100% migrated to p3d, so I won't be able to do any further data collection until the JS41 is out for p3d... have a great summer all!

The google doc is hosted by me (as me and John collected all the data), and I've made it free to edit, so if you can do the conversions, you can change the IAS numbers with TAS, or simply put them behind. The current format is FF/IAS, but we could make it FF/IAS/TAS. What ever we can all do to make things easier for Kyle, will bring us the profile faster. Let me know if I need to do something with the spreadsheet! I'll be making a backup on my drive now, in case someone (inluding myself - lol) screws it up. Be aware that currently only data for 98% condition has been collected, simply because the time consumption is enormous, and neither John nor me could devote any more time to this. The spreadsheet is ready to accept numbers for 100% condition, if anyone want's a go at it. I would suggest to hold off a bit until we know if Kyle will be able to finish this, as I'm sure the workload is high over at PMDG. The conversion of the TAS numbers seems to be a big hurdle on the way to get this done, so that be great if anyone would do it! Let me know Mas

I know, but I'm taking it as a good sign that Kyle and the rest of the team are busy! After all, this is nice to have, rather than need to have... All in good time, I'm sure.
