Disable fuel trucks globally?

Featured Replies

Hello Simmers! :)

I love to fly around the world and to explore as many airports as possible, so I never cared for airport scenery addons, since they only improve a few airports. Instead I went for addons that improve FSX globally, like some airport ground vehicles and finally Ultimate Traffic 2.

I experienced the problem though that AI traffic was not pushing back and departing, and I figured out that the problem is the FSX fuel trucks. I know that either addon airports solve that problem (because they use more fuel trucks), but as I mentioned above I don't like them. Also turning off airport vehicles completely solves the problem because there are no more fuel trucks, but I like all the other vehicles, so that is not an option for me.

So, does anyone have any other ideas of fixing this problem globally? These are the ones I had:

- I tried deleting all fuel trucks in the default.xml (Autogen) but that didn't do anything. Is there any other way to just delete the trucks? I don't know, even by deleting the texture files? Or by manipulating the vehicles_airport.bgl?

- I heard that you could either delete all or add fuel truck vehicle parking spaces in the airport files, but that is a lot of work to do manually for every airport! Is there any editor who can perform a delete of all parking spaces in all airports?

- Any other ideas?

Thank you very much in advance! :)
