May 11, 200521 yr Hi All.A little question.I usually run FS9 at a res of 800x600, even though I do set it higher at times. The problem is that I like to use the map and if I increase the res the map gets smaller! It might get clearer but it gets harder to see it as well! Any thoughts on whether I can make the map view bigger?Andy
May 11, 200521 yr try clicking the plus {+} sign icon in the map toolbar. hope that's what you mean. william
May 11, 200521 yr Hi, thanks, William, but it's the size of the whole thing-the map and the bits that go around it as well! If I increase the pixel numbers to get better definition, then the map 'page' becomes relatively smaller as all it's pixies are squashed together to get on the screen. Awkward.Andy.
May 11, 200521 yr Hi Andy,Me too; except I hate the tiny text messages (things like frame rate, etc.) that I get at higher resolutions. My problem is compounded by the fact that I am color blind and have trouble seeing red.I have compromised at 1024x768. I can see most details on comlex panels and the text isn't too small to read.R-
May 11, 200521 yr Hi there. This is one more thing for FS10 then: resizable messages and the map page itself to be sizable- I mean they go to all the trouble of creating it but at the end of the day it's a tiny part of the whole screen, has no scales on it to judge your distance from anywhere,or heights etc etc!!.Andy.
May 11, 200521 yr Windows allows you to adjust font sizes only if screen resolution makes it difficult to read text.Go to Control Panel|Display|Settings|Advanced and change the DPI setting.I've never tried the effect on FS. Gerry Howard
